信義商圈業者將在8月18日回覆是否參與燈光秀？是否出資？目前已有克緹大樓率先表態支持燈光秀，出資部分還在研議；另外HOME HOTEL、威秀影城、南山廣場和NEO19也都表態願意在自己的建築物上裝上燈光，參與演出。

101大樓2017年跨年煙火，煙火量減少50％，從2萬多發降至1萬發，另外50％改以燈光秀取代，預計在整個信義區架設1,000盞效果燈，展現另一種磅礡氣勢。101發言人劉家豪說，今年首度號召信義商圈加入燈光秀，並向商圈募款，希望湊足4,500萬元經費。

與往年不同的是，這次跨年活動具延續性，101大樓從耶誕節開始，找來法國有446年歷史的史特拉斯堡（Strasborug）耶誕市集，在101北方廣場擺設法國當地特色店家、美食攤位，活動時間自12月1日起至12月25日止，緊接著跨年燈光秀接續登場，持續至1月中，串連耶誕與新年節慶的整體氣勢。
